Martin Barry (1927-1999), a lifelong resident of Maryland is one of the East Coast's most well respected pen and ink and watercolor artists. A graduate of Loyola College, he attended the Maryland Institute College of Art and the Schuler School of Fine Art.
His portfolio contains hundreds of limited and unlimited edition prints. Much of his work depicts points of interest primarily along the Eastern Seaboard, including scenes of Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Annapolis, Washington, D.C., Williamsburg, Richmond, Norfolk, and the Chesapeake Bay. In addition, his portfolio presents an extensive selection of schools, colleges, and universities throughout the United States.

Barry's works are included in many important collections. His rendition of The Cathedral in Baltimore was chosen by the Vatican for a special issue commemorative stamp. His works can also be found in the archives of the Jimmy Carter Library, the Vatican, Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore City Hall, and the Apostolic Delegation in Washington, D.C. Barry was also commissioned by the governor of Maryland for an original work as the state's gift to the Republic of China.
Marty continues to opperate the business and workshop in Bel Air, Maryland.
